Course Content

Delegates will work through the course to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • The day to day role of a first aider.
  • How to communicate with a casualty.
  • Communicating with an unconscious casualty.
  • What a first aid kit needs.
  • How to avoid cross infection.
  • Recording an incident.
  • How to apply CPR.
  • How to deal with minor cuts, grazes, burns etc.
  • Dealing with blood loss.
  • Attending a casualty dealing with shock.
  • How to treat a choking casualty.

Who Should Attend?

The Emeregncy First Aid at Work course is designed for any member of staff who require an emergency first aid at work (EFAW) certificate to comply with HSE Legislation and become a recognised first aider in the workplace. Also a very good introduction to first aid for anyone who would like to learn a new worthwhile life skill.

How Many Days?
